All good things must come to an end. In this post, I describe my experience during the final leg of my West Highland Way Adventure and what I learned from my journey.
On my penultimate day on the West Highland Way, I travel from Kinghouse to Kinlochleven. On this memorable trail day, I tackle something called the Devil's Staircase - will I make it through?
Today I tackled the longest on my journey: 20 miles. I was met with high emotions, sore joints, stunning scenery, iconic landscapes, and some stereotypical Scottish weather.
On Day Four of my West Highland Way adventure, I encountered my first spot of rain and ran into new companions. I also passed the halfway point along the trail.
On day three, I tackled one of the more challenging sections along the West Highland Way. I scramble on rocky trails, meet fellow hikers, and find my stride.
On my second day of the West Highland Way, I tackle Conic Hill as the halfway point. My mental strength is tested and I catch the first sights of Loch Lomond.
